How we deliver

We live in an incredible time for realising human potential, we have never had more access to knowledge than we do now. Our educational resources such as posters, activity books and characters are available to purchase via our online store (with proceeds funding our education and conservation).

Secondary School Program

The elasmonauts program is an education and mentor program for students interested in: the ocean, the environment, science and research, conservation, animal and human rights, sustainability, innovation and creativity.

The program consists of 10 workshops (90 min) over a 10 week period with an end of course student excursion. Each workshop introduces students to a new topic ranging from: Earth and Outer Space, Climate Change, Plastic Pollution, Sustainable Fishing and much more.

Learning is interactive and discussion based, and is directed towards developing a students’ capacity for critical thinking, ethical reasoning and problem solving.

Students (the elasmonauts) are supported to design and implement environmental initiatives within their school and community. Their individual aspirations and goals are nurtured through mentoring, student collaboration and introductions to industry professionals.

School Visits

Preschool to Year 12

elasmo can deliver one-off school talks for all ages: from Preschool to Year 12. The talks are designed to educate, inspire, challenge and empower the future leaders, future scientists and future change drivers.

The key message is that ‘you do not need super powers to save your planet’.

Students will explore: our place in this universe, the ocean, healthy ecosystems including the role of sharks, marine pollution, sustainable futures, rights and responsibilities.

Sparking curiosity, wonder and encouraging students to connect to themselves, each other and our incredible planet.

Presentations can also be tailored to address specific interests or issues that your school is interested in.
